Rev. Michelle Freeman

Reverend Michelle E. Freeman is a native of Austin, TX and grew up in the Missionary Baptist faith. Michelle met and fell in love with Georgia Chambers, also a native Austinite, in the Fall of 1994 and they united in covenantal relationship in June 1996. Together, in June of 1996, they found the Metropolitan Community Church of Austin. While attending a Christian Retreat in Dickinson, TX in October 2004, Michelle said “YES” to God’s call on her life for a future in ordained ministry.

Michelle received her first call to ordained ministry serving as Pastor and Teacher at Parkside Community United Church of Christ in Saukville, WI in 2017. On January 6, 2018, in a packed Spirit-Filled service at Grace UCC in Houston, Michelle was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the United Church of Christ. She also served as Senior Pastor of First Congregational Church UCC in Riverside, CA.

Reverend Michelle legally married Reverend Georgia Chambers on July 3, 2015, right after the Supreme Court ruled same-gender marriage legal in all 50 states. Cofounder

Rev. Natalie Webb

Rev. Natalie Webb is the senior pastor of University Baptist Church in Austin, TX, a faith community that is “rooted in faith, progressive in action.” She’s also a current doctoral candidate at Baylor University where she studies the New Testament, and particularly the letters of Paul. Natalie is passionate about integrating spirituality and justice in the local church, so you might find her marching in protest one day and leading contemplative prayer the next. The best and most important parts of her life are her brilliant theologian spouse, Brandon, and their superhero-obsessed 5-year-old and snuggly-but-adventurous 1-year-old. When she’s not preaching or writing (and after the kids are in bed), Natalie loves to wind down with a nice glass of red wine and a trashy reality T.V. show.
